Two days after the conclusion of the $3,500 buy-in WPT Rolling Thunder Championship stop, which was won by Casey Sandretto for $246,600, the WPT series has announced all of the 2024 stops. The second half of the “WPT of the Year” will take place at four global destinations, and players can get ready for a hefty dose of poker action and fun.
Before the actual start, however, there are still spring events to come - the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown kicks off in Florida on April 18, and the last stop of the first half will be the WPT Choctaw in Southern Oklahoma starting on May 5.
What’s in store for the second half of the WPT’s 22nd season?
The second half of the WPT schedule includes stops in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia in eight different cities. The icing on the cake of the entire schedule, however, will be the last Main Event of December at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas. While the date is not yet known, it promises to be quite a ride again this year given the success of last year’s first event with a guarantee of an astronomical $40,000,000.

Poker tournaments are starting up again in Macau, including the WPT in JuneAfter exotic stops in Taiwan and Australia, the WPT series will also delight players from Europe, with events in Liechtenstein and Paris with a buy-in of around âŹ1,100. The last events on the list will be the WPT Bestbet Scramble stops in Jacksonville and the Hard Rock ‘N’ Roll finale with buy-ins of $5,000 and $3,500, respectively, which promise to once again see a huge turnout for one of the most watched events in the world.
